Borussia Dortmund vs. Hoffenheim - prediction, team news, lineups

After drawing against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League during the week, Borussia Dortmund will be back in Bundesliga action with a home game against Hoffenheim on Sunday.

Hoffenheim will be eager to secure a win at Signal Iduna Park, especially since they haven't won any of their last eight league games.

Dortmund's goalkeeper Alexander Meyer will step in for Gregor Kobel once again, as Kobel picked up a muscle injury in the warm-up before Tuesday's Champions League match against PSV.

The hosts will also be without midfielder Felix Nmecha and Sebastien Haller, but coach Terzic is hopeful that Niklas Sule will recover from illness in time for Sunday's game.

Terzic also mentioned that winger Karim Adeyemi is set to make a return to the matchday squad after being out with an injury.

The Dortmund coach might consider bringing in some fresh players, with Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Julian Brandt in the mix to start against Hoffenheim.

On the other side, Hoffenheim will be missing midfielder Grischa Promel, who was forced off in the first half against Union due to a knee injury.

Promel is joined in the injury list by Kevin Akpoguma, Marco John, and Mergim Berisha. Nsoki will also be unavailable due to a one-match suspension after being sent off last weekend.

Marius Bulter is a doubt due to illness, but Dennis Geiger could be on the bench following a long spell on the sidelines.
