India vs England 4th Test 2024 Match Prediction

India is leading the five-match Test series against England 2-1 after their impressive 434-run victory in Rajkot last week. England had claimed the opener in Hyderabad, but India bounced back to level the series in Vizag.

Looking ahead to the fourth Test in Ranchi, the match is set to kick off at the JSCA International Stadium Complex at 09:30 local time on Friday, 23rd February.

After a shaky start in Ranchi, India managed to turn the tables, seizing control and ultimately dominating England in the third Test. Despite missing Jasprit Bumrah, they are still expected to perform well and secure another victory.

On the other hand, England faced a tough defeat in the last Test, despite initially being in a strong position. As the fourth Test begins, both teams start on equal footing. England is anticipated to play aggressively, but the pitch is likely to heavily favor spin, posing a significant challenge for the tourists.

With a pitch that is expected to deteriorate quickly, both teams will want to take advantage of batting when the pitch is at its best. We predict that both captains will want to bat first.

There are already some large cracks in the surface in Rajkot and we expect the bounce to be uneven and to turn from early on. A par score in the first innings will be between 300-350.

The forecast is for hot and sunny conditions across all five scheduled days in the tournament. The temperature will be over 30 degrees in each game with the peak coming on day four and five.
